Gumpoint Church Prayer Request « Thread Started on Oct 27, 2009, 4:29am »
Praise the Lord! Our church has suffered the loss of two of it's beloved members this week. Sis Tammy Adams.....she is a member of this forum. She had the Swine Flu....she leaves behind a three year old daughter and a much greiving husband.
Bro Bobby Murphy....73 years old suffered a heart attack
Please pray for our church family and the families of both who lost their loved ones. Pray that they will recieve the comfort that only the Holy Ghost can offer.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. We buried Sis Tammy Wednesday. The presence of the Lord was there to comfort and remind us that she was with him. Bro Bobby, who was declared brain dead and was on a life support maching untill all family members could arrive survived after they pulled the plug. He and his wife were recently seperated because of personal issues, and the family is not being very supportive of her. She has taken such good care of him, so prayers for her would be much appreciated. Thank you again.
An update, or rather a correction: Bro Bobby is still on life support....there are so many different stories going around it's hard to keep track. Apparently the doctor wants to wait seven to ten days before pulling the plug to see if he improves. Since when does a brain dead person improve? I have no idea what's going on in this situation anymore. So PRAY

oh my that saddens me very much! do you know what her profile name on AB is/was? I thought this swine flu was all hype and scare mongering but it appears that more and more people are passing away from it... I will pray for the family and all those who are affected by the swine flu right now... my heart aches for her little daughter.. I'm heartened that she knew and lived for the Lord and is with Him now!

Sis Sunshine: Her screen name was TammyDaire....today is her birthday. I saw it when I logged on. Our area, Acadiana has had several Swine Flu deaths. Many teenagers. The strange thing is no one else in the family seems to get sick. Of course this is great....but how does one catch this thing?

so very sad for her family. that is odd that nobody else in the family gets sick. Did she have any type of pre-existing condition or was she an average healthy woman prior to getting sick with this virus? I think maybe people should wear masks in areas that have high rates of the virus and use lots of handwashing... scary!
